Google IT Support Certification
Those who earn the Google IT Support Professional Certificate have completed five-courses, developed by Google, that include hands-on, practice-based assessments and are designed to prepare them for entry-level roles in IT support. They are competent in foundational skills, including troubleshooting and customer service, networking, operating systems, system administration, and security.
Throughout this course I learned a ton of information within tech. The fundamentals proved that my passion for technology is without wavering. I am extremely grateful to Google and Coursera for the opportunity to learn and be educated in such an amazing line of work. I look forward to completing more certificate programs offered by Coursera and Google.
CompTIA ITF+ Certification
Earners of the CompTIA ITF+ certification have the knowledge and skills required to identify and explain the basics of computing, IT infrastructure, application and software, software development, database fundamentals, and security. These IT candidates have demonstrated the ability to install software, establish basic network connectivity, and identify and prevent basic security risks.
The CompTIA ITF+ Certification was made to ensure I know the fundamentals of IT. Gaining the knowledge from personal experience as well as the Google IT Support program allowed me to pass this exam. I look forward to completing more CompTIA certifications soon such as the A+, Security+, and Network+ certifications.
I am currently Pursuing my Associate degree in Computer Science. I started journey to achieving my degree in 2019. Unfortunately once COVID hit, my hours for worked increased thus causing my efficiency and effectiveness with my education to drop exponentially.
Thankfully this has not stopped my drive to complete my education and reach beyond just an associate degree. I am currently taking online classes and am scheduled to complete my associate degree by the end of 2025.
It has been a long journey for my college education. I intend to continue with school as I work to advance my career further. This will hopefully bring in more opportunity to not only grow as a person but to grow within a company and truly put my skills and education to the test.
Computer Science Degree
High School Diploma
Throughout my time at James Madison High School I was enrolled in the JROTC program. This program allowed me to learn extremely useful life skills. Many of which were along the lines of leadership, time management, organization, and surprisingly computer troubleshooting. I was able to quickly rise through the ranks and found myself ranked as one of the top three leaders within the program.
I was also able to pursue my interest within tech by taking a detailed class over HTML coding. From there I was able to build my own website and even build web games from what we learned. Although by now I am a little rusty I look forward to starting a project building a website soon. This way I am able to showcase my skills for you to view on the projects page.
